Denmark is together with the rest of Europe currently facing large challenges:
- We must secure a resilient energy infrastructure,
- We must transform our energy research into business,
- We must address climate change and support a green transition
Confronted with the need to secure resilient infrastructure, deliver on Europe’s Clean and Green Deal, and transform high-tech research into business, we cannot afford to wait. The time to act is now. By turning these mega-challenges into mega-solutions, energy storage – and batteries in particular – can become the catalyst for resilience, climate action, and innovation-led growth.
The Danish Center for Energy Storage (DaCES) has taken the initiative to organize this High Level Summit on Energy Storage; a national strategy for batteries under the Danish EU presidency. The goal is to have an open dialogue on how Denmark together with the Nordic countries can play a much more active role in the development of European research and industrial competitiveness strengthening Europe’s security and sustainability.
